Alright well it has come the time for me to go on a hiatus.

I am going to turn decaying youth community into just decaying youth the record label.  I’m pretty burned out on taking pictures at show and updating the site.  I have a lot of things that I would rather being doing spending my time focusing on other things as well as decaying youth community pretty much failing to be a community.  The whole site will still be around and accessible but i am going to turn the main focus of decaying youth into a record label with a few of my friends.

For the record this is not me saying that I am burnt out on punk rock and going to shows.  Im pretty sure I’ll still be going to the same amount of shows as normal, I’ve just got other things that I want to do with my spare time.  I hope that someone takes my place just like i took tom shots place.  I am willing to teach anyone how to do what I have done.

Jake Ska of CCS has decided to go into a cave and stop booking shows for a while.  He posted this on his facebook page

“So, i’ve been pretty busy now that school has started. I have several new ambitions i’d like to experience in life. The more i think about putting on shows the more i feel completely apathetic too it, and things should not be this way. Since I’m registered as the sole proprietor of CCS it’s technically my company, but everyone who has ever run door, helped stay after to move pews, or even go to multiple CCS shows is part of it. That’s why opinions are good on this note. Basically after the Mustard Plug shows I think i want to stop doing CCS shows for a while and just focus on school/ other activities. I’m sure i’ll want to start booking shows again soon and this will probably only last a few months or so but opinions are good.

So I still want shows to happen, so if anyone wants to start booking shows and wants any names or advice feel free to ask and i’ll support.”

Word on the street is that the gears have already been moving with another group of people picking up the slack.

I have added a new release or I guess found release from the dead Five Second Cummings.  Its 3 songs that have never been heard on recording but were played during the last two months of the bands existence.  Its called the Lost Recordings and I hope you will enjoy them.

Hey guys, I dont know if any of you guys know of punknews.org this is similar to that but on and indianapolis/midwest level.  If you dont know what that site is it just posts news related to punk music.  On this site if your band releases a new record or a new song it is you can send me a message and i’ll most likly put it on the site.  This also works for shows and other junk.  Hopfully people take full advantage of it.

Hey guys!  What’s up?  It looks a tad bit different here doesn’t it?  What do you think?  Oh well thats cool.  Im still working out the kinks so say what you want to say.  

We got a new section up its like an online free record label.  My last band’s last ep is up and my new bands demo is up.  Its cool eh?  The shit is free so go listen, for free.
